eSignature Solutions

ePadTM and the IntegriSignTM eSignature software suite allows the signer to apply their handwritten signature directly to their application in an electronic format and enjoy the security of knowing their signature is bound to the document which cannot be altered without their signature being automatically cancelled.

Thanks to the introduction of the Electronic Communications Act 2000 and the amendments to the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (Electronic Agreements) Order 2004, the ePad is now seeing use in a wide variety of consumer finance applications.

The ePad comes in several different models, each one ideal for a different scenario. Product numbers are noted in brackets. Click on an image for a datasheet about that product.

ePad (VP9801)

This is the standard ePad and is available in both USB and Serial format. With it's simple design, small size, and opaque signing area, this ePad model is ideal for back office situations, where staff sign their own documents. The standard ePad is also available in an OEM version.

ePad II (VP9851)

The ePad II provides the same functionality of the standard ePad, but with a user definable report rate, allowing greater resolution signatures, and each ePad II has a unique serial ID, allowing software to trace the exact ePad II someone used to sign a document. The ePad II is only available in USB format.

ePad-Ink (VP9805)

The ePad-Ink (again, available in both USB and Serial) is ideal for customer facing applications. With it's LCD screen, it displays the signature as the person is signing, making them feel more comfortable with the idea of signing a document electronically. Also, with the ePad-Ink's two way communication, you can digitally fill in forms entirely with the ePad-Ink. An OEM version is also avaiable.

ePad-ID (VP9810)

The ePad-ID combines the functionality of the standard ePad with the added security of a fingerprint scanner. It is ideal for situations where the added ability to identify yourself is neccessary. The ePad-ID sees a lot of use in secure storage facilities, using the signature pad when an item is signed out, and the fingerprint scanner to provide verification for the signer. Due to the extra data transferred between ePad and computer, this ePad is only available in USB format.

ePad ID Pro (VP9880)

The ePad-ID Pro works in exactly the same way as the ePad-ID, only with the added feature of the LCD screen and functionality of the ePad-Ink, as well as optional AES Signature Data Encryption (see below) and a replaceable signature surface and touchscreen . Again, it is only available in USB format.

ePad LS (VP9980)

The ePad LS is the latest model to join the ePad family. With it's 5.7 inch TFT Active Matrix colour LCD screen, and AES 256 bit encryption (see below) as standard, it it the most advanced model to date. The ePad LS includes a bi-directional pressure-sensitive ITO display to present marketing messages to customers while capturing signatures and collecting additional handwriting biometrics. It also has replaceable screen covers. The ePad LS comes only in USB 2.0 format.

AES Signature Data Encryption

In addition to capturing, binding and authenticating signature data using the IntegriSign Software Suite, Interlink Electronics is the only licensed manufacturer to offer AES signature encryption between the ePad hardware and the computer host. This unique security feature, found as standard in the ePad LS, and optional in other models, provides  heightened level of security for you and your customers. Sensitive signature data is encrypted by the ePad before travelling, via cable, to the attached computer host for decryption and binding to a document. This feature adds the highest level of security and integrity to electronic signature processes in retail banking, insurance, and brokerage transactions.
